Thomas (Tap) P. Kolkin

Tap Kolkin is a law clerk to the Honorable Richard D. Bennett of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Prior to his legal career, Tap worked at the Gilman School in Baltimore, Maryland. At Gilman, Tap taught sophomore English and European History. In addition, he coached several sports teams and served as the faculty advisor to the Habitat for Humanity Club.

Tap received a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Yale University in 2007 and a Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2013. He currently resides in Baltimore with his wife Hannah, a teacher at Gilman School.
