Samuel Ready Scholarships Announces New Board Members

We are pleased to announce that Beth Knapp and Camiel Irving have joined the Samuel Ready Scholarships Board of Trustees.

Beth Knapp brings years of valuable education experience to our organization. Beth is an English teacher at the Gilman School, the Upper School Community, Inclusion and Equity Coordinator, and the Co-Director of the Gilman’s Penn Fellows Program, which is the University of Pennsylvania’s Independent School Teaching Residency program.  Previously, Beth served as the Director of Gilman’s Finney-Greene Program, which provides wraparound student support services for more than 30 Gilman students annually.

Camiel Irving is the Vice President of Operations and the General Manager of U.S. and Canada Mobility at Uber where she plays a key role in Uber’s profitability by making decisions that range from capital allocation and customer experience to regulatory strategy.

Camiel is a Baltimore native and holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Xavier University of Louisiana.
